to eros,
unlike other works, this is actually an explanation piece about why my book on wattpad, “to eros,” was written.
eros; being the god of love in greek mythology has several debatable origins, some say he existed before the olympians, other myths suggest that he is the child of ares, the god of war and aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love.
to eros, is a series of letters in forms of poems or semi-proses which condemn his power over the mortal world. it also goes upon ideas of love, past lovers of a person, what does it mean to be loved, heartbreak and so many more aspects of love. instead of just sticking to the one.
it starts as a rant but in poetic verses along with some truths painted across its paper body. like poets say, reading my poetry is like seeing my mind naked and without any walls. the truth being, that this plays out like a story, but it starts the opposite, there is hurt, then some love. then it rewrites itself to the beginning and the dots connect.
till it becomes the story of a lover and another lover, falling in love and falling out of love and its guilts.
